Debbie Reeve
Artist. Explorer. Storyteller.
I'm Debbie Reeve, a contemporary artist inspired by nature, place and the layers of memory they hold. My work is a reflection of the landscapes I've experienced the rocks, trees, water and changing seasons that continue to shape my life and my art.
I paint to capture the feeling of being in a place - the colours, textures and emotions that stay with me long after I've left. Each painting is a response to something I've seen, felt or experienced, translated through layers of texture, colour and mark making.

"Nature gives me the language but life gives me the story."
Places, Moments
and Meaning
Rocks, trees, water and wide open landscapes inspire much of my work. I'm drawn to the textures, the patterns and the way nature changes and renews itself. These elements become metaphors for strength, grounding, movement and growth.
I also find inspiration in the places I've travelled, the quiet moments in everyday life and the connection I feel to the natural world. Each collection in my work is a response to these experiences, capturing both the beauty and the emotion of place.

Process, Texture
and Exploration
My process is intuitive and layered. I build my paintings through a combination of texture, colour and mark making, allowing the work to evolve naturally. Each layer adds depth and meaning, reflecting the way experiences and landscapes accumulate over time.
The studio is where I explore, experiment and bring my ideas to life. It's a space of freedom, curiosity and constant discovery.
